Who holds Jason's hand?
“Broken” is a fictional story set during the last fall of 2010. Family man and community leader, Jason Reece, struggles to re-define his life after his wife, Nina, left him and requested a Collaborative Divorce. His story begins on the day they sign the Marital Dissolution Agreement, the last step before the judge decrees the divorce final. In the ninety days and one week following the signing of the MDA — the waiting time required by Tennessee law — Jason attempts to let go and move on.
Throughout the story, we see how Jason and Nina’s choices also affect their two sons. New husband and father Nate struggles with anger against a mother who abandoned him when she was needed most. High school senior Jamie, a believer in all things God-related, trusts that his mother will change her mind and come home. Nearly divorced Jason juggles life as a nearly single dad with life as a nearly single man — something he’s never been — considering Nina was his first and only love.
